Torstone Technology’s Inferno quickly gains GoodAccreditation
London, 20 April 2012 — Torstone Technology the creator of Inferno, believed to be the first major release of post-trade securities and derivatives processing software in almost a decade, has quickly gained Goodccreditation since launching in early 2012 and a place on the Systems in the City reference web site.
The Systems in the City web site is a source of reference for FSA authorised companies researching computer services, systems, datafeeds and third party clearing. Providing a wealth of information the reference information is particularly useful for FSA firms looking for alternative system solutions or making comparisons with current applications.
Inferno is an enterprise-level clearing, settlement and integrated accounting application supporting multi-asset, multi-currency and multi-location operations. Targeting regional and mid-sized investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds and brokers, it addresses today’s pressing needs to reduce middle and back office costs and supports the front office with improved operational efficiency, simplified regulatory compliance, better client service and risk management.
Stephen Pinner, managing director of independent financial services consultancy Goodacre, which manages systemsinthecity.co.uk said: “To be accredited firms need to demonstrate the capabilities and qualities of their systems. We also take up references directly from users and to maintain their presence, vendors must go through this vetting process annually. Torstone Technology has done very well to gain accreditation so early and as a consequence will see their profile rise in the industry.”
Brian Collings, CEO of Torstone Technology said: “We are delighted that Inferno has gained GoodAccreditation and would like to thank our users for their support. There hasn’t been a product like Inferno before, which was developed to overcome the shortcomings of other settlement systems and meet the processing requirements of a wide range of instruments, complex trades, multiple venues and the demands of very high volumes with a single software solution.”
